Guided Kayak Tour of Point Lobos State Natural Reserve
Calling all avid kayakers, wildlife enthusiasts, and adventurers, for an exclusive experience of a lifetime! A highly experienced TKA parent will guide you on this 2.5-3 hour experience for up to 3 people (4th person added in a double kayak) into Point Lobos State Natural Reserve, where kayak launches are limited to just 4 boats per day! The wildlife is spectacular, and the scenery is described by Ansel Adams as “the greatest meeting of land and water in the world.” Well-known for its giant kelp forest and migratory whale route, Point Lobos is home to cormorants, egrets, migratory birds such as arctic terns, sea lions, harbor seals, sea otters, Risso’s dolphins, and many more. Recommended for active individuals, the minimum age is 5 yrs, max weight is 250 lbs, and includes orientation, training, and kayaks (includes 2 closed deck kayaks, 1 double). Personal wetsuits optional, not included. Meeting place in Monterey or Point Lobos, time/date to be mutually agreed upon.
